Day 1 – Jebel Safari & Mountain Exploration

Start your day with a 4×4 drive into the Dhofar Mountains, passing through Taqa with a photo stop at Taqa Beach.

Continue to Wadi Darbat, a lush valley perfect for a short walk, surrounded by camels and grazing animals. During the Khareef (monsoon), witness seasonal waterfalls and greenery.

Visit Tawi Attair Sinkhole (Well of Birds), one of the largest in the world, known for its dramatic depth and frequent bird activity.

Drive up to Jebel Samhan, reaching a plateau at around 1700m, offering panoramic views of the coastline and mountain ranges—often called the “Grand Canyon of Dhofar.”

After lunch, continue through the Qara Mountains, passing traditional villages and scenic landscapes with multiple photo stops.
