Historical Dhofar

Day 1 – Historical Dhofar (East Salalah)

Start with a visit to the coastal village of Taqa, including Taqa Castle, the former residence of the regional governor.

Continue to Sumharam (Khor Rori – UNESCO site), an ancient port and key hub in the frankincense trade route.

Drive onward to Mirbat, the former capital of Dhofar. Walk through traditional streets and stop at the Bin Ali Tomb, known for its twin domes.

On the return, visit Ayn Razat, a natural spring set against a peaceful mountain backdrop.

Return to the hotel.
