Day 1 – Desert Adventure & Lost City of Ubar

Start your journey with a 4×4 drive towards the Qara Mountains, offering sweeping views of Salalah’s green plains. After a short stop at Thumrait, continue across the vast gravel desert of Al Nejd.

Visit the legendary Lost City of Ubar (UNESCO site), often called the “Atlantis of the Sands”, once buried beneath the Empty Quarter.

Head deeper into the Empty Quarter (Rub Al Khali) to experience the world’s largest sand desert. Climb the dunes and take in stunning panoramic views.

On your return, stop at Wadi Dawka (UNESCO site), home to the region’s largest natural growth of frankincense trees, and learn about their historical and modern significance.

Return to the hotel.
